i recently broke my g752 screen. I bought a replacement screen which i installed properly, screen is working just fine.
But I have a few questions about it if someone could help.
1 - my new screen is a generic one, so for 75 euros i assume it doesn't come with gsync right? Highest refresh rate i can choose in settings is 60hz.
2 - if you had to buy one lcd panel, which one would you choose ? is the original g752 an IPS one ? and is the difference between IPS and others noticeable ?
3 - i could go without gsync and ips......but there's another problem which makes me wonder if i am gonna send the panel back or not.....I explain :
since i installed it, the brightness constantly changes, goes bright when looking at a white screen (google for example), and dark when looking at a black screen (geforce experience).
I tried everything possible :
-disable adaptive brightness
-delete it from the registry
-no intel graphics in g752 so the solutions with intel control panel don't work
-there's no "automatic brightness" setting in windows (creators update 1709 i think)
-impossible to install splendid utility on this windows 10 build
-revert to asus official site nvidia drivers
none of this worked....does anybody have the same problem?
And, most important, is it a software or hardware issue ? Noticed it with the new screen, but what if (during two days without screen i plugged the pc on my tv) windows just updated itself and the screen is no responsible....?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
